One of us makes  Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies.  You will need to write this recipe down and make them soon.   And email me one.  K?
2 sticks butter 1 c. mini choc. chips

1/2c. brown sugar 1 T. milk
2 c. a.p. flour 1.t. vanilla

Mix, scoop into balls and then mash with a fork.  Bake for 10-11 minutes at 350.  Your welcome.

While one cute one among us tugs and chews at everyones' heart strings.  This little chunk-a-munk is a riot. Oh.my.word.  He is for sure without a doubt the sweetest dog.  Ever.  He's barely 10 weeks and is sitting at the door whining to go potty.  He falls all over himself.  And has grown 6 inches or more in 2 weeks.  He CANNOT eat his food fast enough and he has eaten 2 board games, the book of Job, and the finish off my dining room table.  Okay I exaggerate but he is a maniac.  And has completely won me over.  He is a big bundle of squishing belly and velvet fur and we are smitten.

And some of us do not know our limititations.  My BirTday cake from my friends.  Don't laugh.  Yes those are canned peaches and yes that is red 'gel' icing.  And yes the cake was very wet.  I do not know why.  But now you know that when you go to a Mexican restaurant and order something.....stick with enchiladas and queso.  Do not venture into birthday cake world.  Americans have a corner on the transfat buttercream icing market.  We do not mix peaches with cake.  And we do spell Birthday with an H.  We didn't get our obesity problem eating this kinda cake, I promise you. All that said, Thank you my sweet wonderful dear friends.  I love you and laughing about this cake made my week.
One of us reads while standing up. And walking.  Or doing the splits.  Or hiking one leg up onto the sofa.  Or while doing ballet.   I kinda prefer sitting. But to each his own.
And others of us start random games of scrabble and try to invent words such as smod.
While one in particular of us  practices her culinary skills on mom's cake.
and the 39 yo among us beats the January Saturday doldrums by decoupaging a barn star.....
with pictures of the kiddos.

Ok - I know we'd be good friends. The way you talk about the Doople (that's our word for our babies half dog half person). He looks so sweet. We are on the look out for an addition to our family, lost our Sophie of 10 1/2 yrs at Thanksgiving, Simon 13 1/2 is missing her.

Love the photos & the star I want to know where/how you did that. Info please
The cake was priceless, just priceless, you'll talk about it for years.
